The Accent is one of the smallest models in Hyundai’s line up. It is the least expensive Hyundai model but does not compromise on either style or features. It is available as a four door sedan or a three door hatchback. The new 2010 edition is available as a new ultra efficient Blue model.

The new edition is well crafted by the Hyundai engineers as an eco friendly edition which offers improved fuel economy and lower emissions in comparison to its competitors. The engineers have designed the new edition so artistically that it offers an improved efficiency of up to 9% i.e. almost 36 mpg on highway and 31mpg combined which is much better than the Honda Fit and Nissan Versa.

The 2010 Hyundai Accent is compiled with features which aim at reducing fuel consumption such as lower friction engine component, lower rolling resistance silica tires, aerodynamic improvements ,a smart alternator management system and much more. The Accent Blue is also equipped with these features with an addition of revised transmission gear ratio and lowered ride height to achieve greater fuel efficiency.

Hyundai has added an awesome feature to intimate the driver when he is achieving good fuel economy.  The Eco indicator on automatic transmission turns green Eco light when he is optimizing fuel economy. Manual transmission models also have this function to intimate driver of the optimal time to shift.

The 2010 edition is also equipped with blue backlit gauges and iPod/USB ports on all audio equipped models.

The 2010 Hyundai Accent is priced at $9,970 plus $720 freight charges for the Blue three door hatchback edition which is equipped with a 1.6 liter four cylinder gasoline engine and five speed manual transmission. The premium SE edition features a four speed automatic transmission and is priced at $16,995 plus freight charges of $720.
