The new Mercedes-Benz S-Class is more refined than other luxury saloons

The new Mercedes Benz S Class is more refined as compared to other luxury saloons in its segment with its highly efficient engines. These engines come with direct petrol injection system so that the output is increased by 12.5% and the petrol consumption is reduces by 24 percent. One of the extensive and expensive features found in this model is BlueDirect technology with spray-guided third generation petrol injection system and seven-speed 7G-Tronic automatic transmission. Innovations like Active Lane Keeping Assist and Active Blind Spot Warning System ensure that S Class remains one of the best in its class in terms of safety. As compared to previous model, the new S Class is powered by petrol V6 engine that generates 301 horsepower and 272 pound feet of torque. There is another engine choice available called biturbo V8 engine that produces 428 horsepower.

The series of Mercedes Benz S Class engine is completed by 3.0 liter diesel engine called S 350 Bluetec that churns out 254 horsepower. One of the most powerful and refined engines is biturbo 12-cylinder engine with Euro emissions control standard. The S 350 Bluetec 2987cc six-cylinder engine churns out 254 horsepower and 457 pound feet of torque. The engine of S500 models produces 428 horsepower and 516 pound feet of torque. The S600 model’s engine is good for churning out 509 horsepower and 612 pound feet of torque.
